Volunteer work more popular in the country

Some 44% of Dutch adults do some form of volunteer work, the national statistics office CBS said on Wednesday.


Men are more likely to be active in sports clubs, churches and mosques while women help out at schools and with care services.
Country dwellers do more volunteer work than people living in the cities, the CBS said.
