US passport law hits family holidays

Dozens of families hoping to travel to the US are becoming stranded at Schiphol airport because they have not got separate passports for their children, news agency ANP reports on Thursday.

‘We are seeing 50 to 60 cases a week,’ a spokesman for the military police at the airport said.
Friday is expected to be Schiphol’s busiest day ever, when over 175,000 passengers are processed.
