Shell sells London wind project stake

Shell is selling its stake in the London Array, the world’s biggest wind farm project, to its partners Eon and Dong Energy, the Sunday Times reports.

Under the deal, Shell’s one-third stake will be divided equally between Eon and Dong, the paper says. A number of other companies, including Centrica, Scottish Power and EDF made first round bids in the action, the paper said.
Shell pulled out of the scheme, to producing enough power for a quarter of London’s homes, at the beginning of May.
