Randstad to retrain prostitutes

Staffing agency Randstad and Christian help group Scharlaken Koord are to work together to help prostitutes leave the sex industry and find new jobs, Trouw reports on Friday.

The project is being funded by Amsterdam city council. An application for cash from the social affairs ministry is still being looked at.
The target is to help 50 prostitutes over the next year. Such women ‘need as much help as possible so they can fully participate in society,’ Amsterdam council executive Marijke Vos told the paper.
