Internet billionaire loses damage claim

A Rotterdam court has rejected a claim for almost $45 mln in damages by internet billionaire Nina Brink against a former business associate, reports Friday’s Financieele Dagblad.

Brink, the founder of internet company World Online, filed a claim in 2003 against Dik Wessels, a former shareholder in World Online.
The claim revolved around the sale of shares in the company prior to its ill-fated bourse launch in 2000.
