Insurer may go to court over home help freeze

Health insurance company Menzis says it will go to court to make sure none of its clients are hit by the freeze on new patients launched by two home help organisations at the weekend.

If the home help umbrella organisation Meavita and national health council fail to solve the problem, legal action will follow to make sure patients are helped, a spokesman said.
The home help organisations, one operating in Groningen and the other in Overijssel and Gelderland, say there is no more money available to pay for care.
