Huge rise in ADHD prescriptions
The number of people with a prescription for medicine to cope with hyperactivity and attention defict disorders (ADHD) soared from 31,000 in 2002 to 86,000 at the end of last year.
The cost of treating ADHD has risen from €5.6m a year to €27.5m last year. The figures come from the drugs use monitoring foundation SFK.
