Anti-terror coordinator to quit end 2008

The head of the Dutch anti-terrorism coordination unit NCTb is to leave his job at the end of the year. Tjibbe Joustra set up the unit in 2004 as an umbrella organisation for all ministries and other government bodies involved in combating terrorism.

‘The organisation exists, works and is now fully operational. I have done the job with a great deal of pleasure but the time is now right to move on,’ the Telegraaf reported Joustra as saying.
His deputy Lidewijde Ongering (49) announced her departure last week. She is going to be acting number 2 at the transport ministry.
