A 42-year-old US national has been sentenced to 15 years in jail and psychiatric prison for killing a student with an axe on Roosendaal railway station last September.

Carlos H wanted to carry out an ‘anti-capitalist attack’ and originally planned to kill a soldier stationed at nearby barracks. When that failed, he targeted the 22-year-old because he ‘would have been suitable for military service’, news agency ANP reports.
