‘Aggressive dogs’ still in detention
The fate of over 100 dogs held under the aggressive animals act will be decided soon, farm minister Gerda Verburg told news agency ANP on Friday.
The ban on dangerous dogs was scrapped in June because it was found to be ineffective. It is being replaced by an ‘abnormal behaviour’ test.
Of the 200 ‘aggressive’ dogs seized, 27 have since been sent home and another 67 dogs will soon be returned to their owners.
