Watchdog to report on investment policies
The financial services sector watchdog AFM will publish its report on investment-based savings and life insurance policies in October, finance minister Wouter Bos told MPs on Friday.
The initial report will focus on the market conditions and on 50 different investment products. A more detailed analysis can be delivered in December, Bos said.
Investment-based products have become known as ‘profiteering policies’ in the Netherlands after it emerged that up to 40% of the premiums went on costs and agency fees.
