Tsvangirai takes refuge in Dutch embassy
Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has fled to the Dutch embassy in Harare and spend Sunday night there, foreign affairs minister Maxime Verhagen said on Monday.
Verhagen said Tsvangirai had asked officials on Sunday if he would be welcome at the embassy. He is now evaluating his next step, Verhagen said.
On Sunday, Tsvangirai pulled out of the June 27 presidential elections because of increasing violence from ruling party militias
Tsvangirai is not thought to have applied for asylum.
