Trafigura boss free on Probo Koala charge

The head of Amstelveen-registered oil company Trafigura may not be prosecuted for the Probo Koala toxic waste scandal, a court in Amsterdam ruled on Friday, reported news agency ANP.


Judges said was extremely unlikely that Claude Dauphin would be convicted. The company itself and other senior staff can be prosecuted for their actions while the ship was moored in Amsterdam, the court said.
