Queen Beatrix begins a three-day visit to Lithuania on Tuesday at the invitation of president Valdas Adamkus.

The queen was in nearby Latvia two years ago and visited Estonia last month. The three separate visits to the Baltic nations are because they no longer wish to be closely associated, website nu.nl reports.
