Postal market delay under fire
Deutsche Post is protesting to the European Commission about the Dutch government’s plans to delay opening up the domestic postal market to full competition until next year at the earliest, news agency ANP reports.
Junior economic affairs minister Frank Heemskerk says he will not end TNT’s monopoly on ordinary letter post until there is a real European level playing field and that he has assurances on delivery workers’ pay.
