Laren is the best place to live
The wealthy village of Laren, north of Hilversum, is still the best place in the Netherlands to live, according to Elsevier magazine’s annual survey.
Nearby Naarden is second and Bloemendaal, close to the sea, is third. Bottom of the list, which covers all 443 local authority areas, is Borger-Odoorn in Drenthe.
