Dutch import more foreign cars
The Dutch imported 96,608 private cars in 2007, 24% more than in 2006, reports vehicle registration service RDW on Monday.
Most imported cars come from Germany but the favourable dollar exchange rate has led to an increase in American cars.
Fans of classic cars are buying from Sweden where icy winter roads are not gritted or salted, leaving the cars in a much better condition, news agency ANP reported.
