Bosnian Serb to face The Hague tribunal

Foreign minister Maxime Verhagen has welcomed the arrest of Stojan Zupljanin, a Bosnian Serb who is wanted by the Yugoslavia Tribunal in The Hague to face charges of crimes against humanity.

‘This shows how important it is to keep pressing for full cooperation with the tribunal,’ Verhagen said. The Netherlands has made Serbian cooperation with the tribunal a condition of its backing for Serbia’s admittance to the EU.
