All-night talks to end bus strike continue

Talks to end the strike by regional bus drivers continued through Thursday night and are still going on this morning, reports ANP news service. Employers and unions started their meeting at 8.30pm at a hotel in Bussum.

The strike is expected to continue outside the rush hour on Friday but a union spokesman told ANP on Thursday night that he expected the industrial action to be over by Saturday.
The conflict over regional bus drivers’ pay reached a deadlock in April. The drivers want a 3.5% pay rise.
