Young workers uninterested in pensions

Nearly 40% of workers under the age of 30 are not saving for a pension or have no idea if they will receive a pension, according to research by financial advisers DTC reported in Thursday’s AD newspaper.

The research also shows that 19.2% of workers of all ages do not belong to a pension fund. A remarkable figure, according to DTC, because according to the Dutch central bank 90% of all workers should have extra old-age insurance.
