Two patients die tied to their beds
Two elderly patients at the Atrium medical centre in Heerlen died last week after being tied to their beds using a restraint known as a ‘Swedish band’, the AD reports on Thursday.
The paper says use of the restraint has been linked to other deaths in the Netherlands. Health ministry inspectors are investigating.
