Supermarket group Schuitema, which runs the C1000 chain, booked sales of €1bn in the first quarter of 2008, up 3.3% on the year-earlier period.


The company is now almost entirely owned by investment house CVC Capital Partners which took over Ahold and CKK’s shares last month.
