Short story collection wins Libris prize

The short story collection Sleur is een roofdier by D. Hooijer has won this year’s €50,000 Libris literature prize.

Hooijer (68) is the first woman to win the award since Frida Vogels in 1994.
The jury said Hooijer’s stories show ‘a delicate balance between story-telling and the way of telling, between content and form’.
