Shop sales fell by 3.4% in March

Dutch retail sales fell by 3.4% in March, compared with the year-earlier period, the national statistics office CBS said on Tuesday.

It was the first decline in almost three years, and partly caused by fewer trading days. Clothing led the 7% drop in non-food sales while food sales rose 2%.
