Police to sue rioters for mental damage
Amsterdam police are to sue people who take part in riots or street brawls for the mental damage suffered by officers, news agency ANP reports on Friday.
At the moment, the police only go to court to win compensation for physical injuries and damage to police property.
The aim of the new approach is to try to reduce attacks on the police, the Telegraaf reports.
