Nearly 27,000 given refugee amnesty

Some 26,800 asylum-seekers have been granted residency rights under the government’s amnesty announced last year, junior justice minister Nebahat Albayrak told MPs on Tuesday.


But of the 3,400 people scheduled for deportation because they did not qualify, some 700 have disappeared, Albayrak said.
