Squatters have thrown stones through windows at the official residence of Amsterdam’s mayor Job Cohen, at the town hall and the offices of housing corporation De Key, police said on Monday.

The attacks follow the eviction of squatters from five buildings owned by De Key on Saturday, which led to 51 arrests.
Police told news agency ANP they had found a number of weapons at the squats,including baseball bats, flick knives and ammunition. Squatters accused the police of lying.
