‘Long-term unemployed ignored’
At least 30% of local social services do nothing to help the long-term unemployed into work even though the labour market is desperate for workers, reports Tuesday’s Telegraaf.
The figures come from social services organisation Divosa. It found that 100,000 difficult-to-place people get no help in finding a job. These are mainly the over-40s, women, immigrants and drug users.
