Farmers attached to the Campina dairy cooperative gave a unanimous welcome the merger with the much larger Friesland Foods, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Thursday.

At the same time, Friesland’s members also overwhelmingly backed the plan.
The merger, will create the world’s biggest dairy cooperative with 22,000 employers and annual turnover of over €9bn, still has to be approved by the EU.
