Dutch lead Europe in potatoes

Dutch potato growers are the most efficient in Europe, particularly those in Zeeland and Brabant, says Tuesday’s Telegraaf.


The Dutch potato harvest has grown by 20% since the early 1990s, the fastest in Europe.
And according to the agriculture economics institute (LEI), which carried out the research, Dutch know-how in seeds, fertilizers and drainage is second to none.
