Dutch food gets cheaper
Families which want to save money can do no better than switch to traditional Dutch food, Postbank economist Marten van Garderen tells Thursday’s Telegraaf.
While pasta and rice have gone up 10% and 6% in price, potatoes are down 25% on a year ago, Van Garderen says. Chicken legs cost the same and ‘other meat’ – not pork or beef – is 1% cheaper, as is ice cream for dessert.
