Eindhoven-based truck maker DAF wants to build a new factory in eastern Europe with an investment of several hundred million euros, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Wednesday.
DAF Trucks, part of the US Paccar group, says economic growth in the region offers new opportunities. The company has a target of 20% of the market. It currently controls 15%.
‘We need more capacity for further growth,’ a spokesman told the paper.
