Amsterdam u-turn over car ban
Amsterdam city council has decided to use EU pollution standards rather than age as the criteria for banning cars from the city centre in an effort to improve air quality.
The council originally planned to ban all cars built in 1992 or earlier. The plan still has to win full council approval.
