Second booby trap found in woods
Police in Limburg are investigating the discovery of a spike-lined booby trap in the Helden woods which they say could have caused serious injury to walkers.
The trap, a 1.5m deep hole with a concrete block at the bottom studded with long, sharp spikes, is the second to be found in recent days.
The latest discovery, on a path popular with walkers and cyclists, was covered with plastic and leaves, reports Trouw on Monday.
‘The aim of these booby traps is simply to cause serious injury,’ a police spokesman told the Telegraaf.
