Most ‘foreigners’ are Dutch

The population of Amsterdam is made up of 176 different nationalities, compared with 190 in the Netherlands as a whole, the capital’s statistics office O&S said on Monday.

Some 75% of those classed as foreign – which O&S defines has having at least one parent born abroad – have Dutch nationality, the organisation says.
