Extra soldiers for Uruzgan
Defence minister Eimert van Middelkoop announced on Wednesday evening that he is sending an extra platoon of between 30 and 40 soldiers to Uruzgan.
They will be in the Afghan province on a temporary basis to guard the Dutch camps until Slovak forces take over in September, according to press reports on Thursday.
Some 1,7000 Dutch soldiers are currently in the country.
