Corporate Express growth slows

Office supplies group Corporate Express saw sales growth slow down in the first quarter of 2008, compared with the final quarter of last year.


In the US, sales rose 2% between January and March, after growing 3% in the final three months of last year. In Europe, sales were up 3%, compared with 5% in the 2007 final quarter.
Corporate Express is currently being stalked by US office supplies group Staples, which has made a €2.5bn offer.
