Big building firms boost turnover

Turnover at the Netherlands’ biggest building firms rose over 10% last year, compared with growth of 3% in 2006, says the national statistics office CBS.

But small building firms saw turnover growth go down, from 13% in 2006 to 10% last year. Middle-sized firms also saw a decline.
The construction sector’s turnover totalled over €80bn in 2007. Big firms account for 37% of the total, small firms for 22%.
