Ahold finalises Schuitema sale
Supermarket group Ahold has sold its 73.2% stake in sector peer Schuitema to British investment group CVC Capital Partners in a cash and share deal.
In return, Ahold will take over 58 of Shuitema’s 443 C1000 supermarkets.
The phased transfer of the stores to Ahold will be completed by the end of the year.
Ahold will maintain an indirect stake of 20% in Schuitema.
