Traffic jams forecast for Thursday afternoon
Around half a million people are expected to go on holiday during the Easter break, most of them within the Netherlands, reports the Telegraaf.
The paper says that the motoring organisation ANWB has warned of heavy traffic during Thursday afternoon’s rush hour with 400 kilometres of jams expected.
Most of the delays will be on roads heading to the south and the east of the country and on the main motorways used by German tourists coming into the Netherlands, says the ANWB.
Easter Monday is also expected to be extra busy on the roads and at recreation parks, furniture malls and other traditional tourist venues throughout the country.
