TNT complains to EC over German pay
Postal company TNT has made a formal complaint to the European Commision against the introduction of minimum pay rates for postal delivery workers in Germany.
TNT claims the minimum pay rate conflicts with EU competition rules and makes it harder for newcomers to enter the German market.
Deutsche Post, which has 90% of the German market, agreed with the unions last year to a minimum rate of €9.80 a hour.
TNT had signed a €7.50 per hour agreement with its German staff.
