Sixth Schiphol runway plan withdrawn
The province of Noord-Holland has unexpectedly withdrawn plans to begin the process of building a sixth runway at Schiphol airport.
There was not enough support for the plan, provincial official Willem Klein told the Telegraaf. Locals had strongly protested about the prospect of a new runway.
