Six cents too much social security

An unemployed man has been sent a formal letter by the social security payment office UWV to tell him he had been given six cents too much in benefits over the first six months of 2006.

Now Harry van Marle will have this year’s payments cut to refund the money, the Telegraaf reports. A spokesman for the UWV said the letter was sent automatically by computer.
