PSV of Eindhoven moved a step closer to the premier league title yesterday after a goalless draw at home against second-placed Ajax of Amsterdam.

The Amsterdammers needed to win the game to give them a real chance of catching PSV, who have a four-point lead with five games to go.
Meanwhile, Roda JC of Kerkrade beat Heracles of Almelo in the semi-final of the Dutch FA (KNVB) Cup yesterday. The game was decided by a penalty shoot out after the score remained level at 2-2 in extra time. Roda will meet Feyenoord of Rotterdam in the final.
