Police spot checks on 6,000 cars
Police, tax inspectors and customs officials carried out spot checks on 6,000 cars and their drivers on the A2 in the early hours of this morning.
The controls, involving 130 officials, found 16 people driving with too much alcohol in their system and 12 cars with defective lights, the AD reports.
In total, 128 written warnings were handed out.
