Major orders for Ballast Nedam

Ballast Nedam has won a government order to build a new 320-cell prison complex in Rotterdam. The company will work with a number of partners on the €100m project, the company announced on Wednesday.


The contract includes maintenance of the prison for the next 25 years.
Ballast Nedam also announced involvement with another consortium that has won a deal to build to build new offices for the regional tax department and the government’s body in charge of student loans.
This contract is worth €13.2m annually for 20 years and Ballast Nedam has a 30% stake in the consortium, reports Thomson Financial News.
