Heart attack admissions down 30%
Hospital admissions for patients suffering from heart attacks fell by 30% between 1995 and 2005, according to figures released on Monday by the national statistics office CBS.
The decrease for men was 34% and 27% for women. The improvement is attributed to lower cholesterol levels.
Overall hospital admissions however rose by 17% over the same period.
