Health insurers lose out

Insurers lost some €507m on health insurance policies last year, the Volkskrant reported on Friday, quoting central bank figures.


In 2006, health insurance losses totalled €563m. But unlike in 2006 when they made a loss, top-up policies offering extra services made a combined profit of €93m.
