Defence ministry employed illegal teacher

The defence ministry has employed an Iraqi man, who served eight years in jail for helping to murder his mother-in-law and who is described by the immigration service as an ‘undesirable alien’, to teach soldiers Arabic, the Telegraaf claims on Tuesday.

The man, Moayad Abdulkadir, 49, revealed his army involvement on his application to stay in the Netherlands which is currently before the courts, the paper says.
A defence ministry spokesman told the paper that the man had probably been involved at a very low, informal level and was never part of the proper teaching crew.
