Dance4Life founder is Global Leader

A barber’s son from Amstelveen who founded the Aids charity Dance4Life will today be named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, reports Tuesday’s Financieele Dagblad.

Dennis Karpers (39) started Dance4Life in 2002. The group encourages young people around the world to raise money for the fight against Aids and rewards them an annual mega dance event.
Karpers has won support from ABN Amro, Björn Borg, Desmond Tutu, DJ Tiësto and rock star Bono.
The dance event, held in several countries concurrently, took place in 10 countries in 2006. This year 21 countries will take part.
